Maureen is an accomplished sailor, a USCG 100 TON Master Captain, a Certified Instructor for
Orange Coast College School of Sailing and Seamanship, American Sailing, NauticEd, US Powerboating,
and a Private Pilot.
With 50 years of boating and sailing experience, she initially learned to sail with her dad.
At the age of 18 she was taking their family boat to Catalina with her best friend.
In the corporate world as a professional for over 35 years, Maureen's focus has always been in
communications, collaboration, and supporting those around her to become
the best version of themselves.
She has shifted that approach onto the water to inspire others to achieve beyond expectation.
Sharing her command and skill in her own unique way has a lasting and empowering effect.

Having done this trip many times, I will lay out the options and what my arrangements are... Flight, Ferry, Hotel
3 FLIGHT OPTIONS:
1. Fly directly into Tortola (Beef Island Airport - EIS) and Taxi to Marina or wherever your hotel is prior to boarding date
American Airlines has a direct flight from the US (Miami) to Tortola (EIS). (Most costly)
2. Fly into Puerto Rico and jump on a 30 minute Cape Air flight to Tortola (EIS).
3. Fly into St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, then Ferry (Fast Ferry service) to Roadtown, Tortola.
This is the route I am taking because I fly Delta and they don't go to Tortola.
I depart May 22 in the PM and arrive St. Thomas around noon, then ferry to Tortola arriving in the afternoon.
The Ferry is a 50 minute ride from Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas to Road Town Tortola, $103 round trip: https://www.roadtownfastferry.com/
NOTE: All flights will typically depart the west coast in the later evening and arrive into either Tortola or St. Thomas mid morning or early afternoon the following day.
HOTEL:
Arrivals into Roadtown, Tortola will be in the later afternoon, therefore a hotel for 1 night will be needed prior to boarding the next day. Depending on which charter company/marina may determine hotel options desired.
